Fuel Test Unit

Producing fuel that meets the ASTM D6751 standard is one of the essential goals of the Independence Energy program. Road ready Biodiesel is also a goal of our customers.
The dry wash system, which is Independence Energy’s Shine 1000™, coupled with the PUROLITE® PD206®, provides the end user with the capability of producing ASTM quality fuel.
The PD206® dry ionization medium has a functional life span dependent on several factors including the quality of the feedstock, the efficiencies of the BD76™ operator, and the sheer number of gallons passed through the medium. At some point PD206® will have exhausted its functionality. The question is: What is that point?
The end user could guess at the appropriate time to change out the medium or could send a sample of the end product to a lab for testing. Both of those choices are completely unsatisfactory to Independence Energy.
The solution to the testing issue is the i-SPEC™ Q-100 made by Paradigm Sensors of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Our end users can hold Biodiesel testing technology in the palm of their hands.
The i-SPEC™ Q-100 will provide the numerical data needed to determine when to change out the PD206® medium, thereby assuring the quality of every batch of Biodiesel. The i-SPEC™ Q-100 will also aid the end user in their maintainance of a batch log, which is a necessary document that is presented to any regulatory authority or insurance company.
The i-SPEC™ Q-100 eliminates the guesswork and makes the Independence Energy Biodiesel Program the finest in the world.
